UK Federation Support Officer (Fixed-Term 2 Years, Full Time) £30,122 to £35,938

EDINA (http://edina.ac.uk) provides technical support to JISC Collections in their operation of the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research and is looking for additional technical staff to assist in this role. The federation provides a single solution to giving access to online resources and services for education and research.

You will be helping and supporting organisations throughout the UK and beyond to register with the federation and implement Shibboleth access management software. You will develop a detailed understanding of the technical structure that underpins the working of the federation.

You will have a degree in computing or a related discipline and several years relevant work experience using web and related technologies. Experience in Apache, SAML, XML, Unix, Java and one or more scripting languages will be especially valuable. You will be used to working with care and precision.

This post is fixed-term for two years.
