As co-organiser, EDINA is pleased to announce that the international OR2012 conference has begun this week and is being amplified in a variety of ways for those not present. A record 460 delegates from 34 countries have gathered at the University of Edinburgh for the main conference which gets underway at lunchtime on Tuesday 10th July. The conference sessions are being filmed and will be edited and made available after the event. In the meantime, you can follow the proceeedings via a live-blog appearing on the which is appearing on the conference website. In addition, the buzz is being recorded via a dedicated page on the website and a separate Crowdvine social networking site.

The full week of events begin yesterday with pre-conference workshops, some of which have already been tweeted and blogged about.

We will publish a complete summary of the conference and the materials will all be made available in an open repository afterwards. Before then though, we hope everyone interested is able to enjoy following and participating in the conference from near and far.
