Identify what type of information you need to find

1. Identify the area of importance.

For Kate this is defined as the period of time related to the Spanish Armada.

2. Define the keywords.

Kate has listed the following keywords:
  • Queen Elizabeth I
  • Spanish Armada
  • 'Heart of a Lion' speech

3. Work out what type of information you need to find. There are many types of information available. Do you want purely factual information? Stories that bring the topic to life? Topical discussion? Can you think of any other types of information that could be used?

Kate will focus on the following types of information:
  • Factual information - timelines, records of events
  • Discussion and analysis by commentators and researchers
