Definitions:

• Substantial articles: Substantial articles are those that contain new or specific information of value to a student or practitioner in the field
• Short articles: An article of less than one page in the non-peer-reviewed press is flagged as `short article` in the enhancement field.
• All or most: for the core set of publications the presumption is that all major articles and papers are indexed

Exclusions:

• articles that contain no information of value to a practitioner in the field
• articles dealing with tropical and non-temperate agriculture
• Note: environment, conservation and tourism are indexed on a worldwide basis
