New Intute tutorial

A new edition of the Internet for Social Statistics online tutorial has been released in the Intute: Virtual Training Suite. The tutorial, which teaches Internet research skills, has been completely updated and revised by Robin Rice of the Edinburgh University Data Library. It is ideal for use in Higher Education courses, particularly in social science or research methods courses.

The tutorial recommends key Internet resources for social statistics, offers advice on Internet searching and web site evaluation, and has a new section called “Success Stories” to illustrate how the Internet can be used to support education and research in a variety of scenarios.
