Jorum upgrade

A new version of the Jorum repository software is now in service. It offers a range of new functionality and improvements:

improved performance for searching and downloading
simplified download page with advanced options
resource export from a public preview
option to upload multiple files
optional automatic emails of user comments
a “My Objects” space within Contributors’ work areas, allowing them to see resources they have previously uploaded

Summer training

The Jorum team have organised hands-on training events for late June, covering both Jorum User and Jorum Contributor. The events are geared towards staff from the following areas:

potential and existing Jorum site reps
learning resource, library, online services or e-learning staff
potential contributors of learning and teaching resources
learning technologists and staff from projects producing electronic resources

Registration is free and each event will deal with the User Service in the morning, and the Contributor Service following lunch. The events are aimed at staff from further and higher education institutions.

Spaces are limited (according to the venue) and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
