ShareGeo ArcGIS depositor plugin

Metadata entry form for ShareGeo Open’s ArcCatalog Plugin.

EDINA has developed a plugin that makes sharing geospatial data even easier. The ShareGeo plugin is an extension for ESRI ArcCatalog. Once all the metadata has been entered, the user simply clicks on the “Publish” button and the data is deposited directly into the ShareGeo repository via the SWORD protocol. The user then receives a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) providing a permanent link to the dataset in the repository. A number of data types can be uploaded using the ShareGeo plugin including:

To download the ShareGeo plugin, go to the Sharegeo website and click on the link at the bottom of the page. The plugin will install automatically from the .msi file and there are step by step instructions to link it into ArcCatalog.
