There is more information on how to use the site in the help pages.
As the service is new we would very much like to hear about your experiences using it. Please contact EDINA with any feedback you might have about this or any of our other services on edina@ed.ac.uk
The existing Data Download will continue to be run alongside the new version until the end of the year.
We have started working on a project to improve and simplify access to the applications within Digimap. This will involve us developing a new Digimap home page. We are still at an early stage in the design and development process but we want to keep you informed that things will be changing – for the better!
We hope to have the new home page in service by spring next year. Watch this space for designs to preview.
You may have noticed that there are currently surveys running on Digimap services and GoGeo, to give you the opportunity to help us improve our services.
In addition to service improvement, the surveys will feed into the detailed review of EDINA geoservices that JISC is undertaking. It is very important that you have the opportunity to have your say about any of the services you use.
We thank those who have responded to the surveys; last year the results were fed back into the service and many of the comments were valuable in helping us decide future directions. It is due to your feedback that we developed new features such as the Annotation Tools and prioritised redevelopment of the Data Download interface. We have given more space to finding out what you want us to do next in the survey questions.
