This week (20th-24th March) the first DataFest, a week-long festival of data innovation, takes place with events running across Scotland. EDINA is delighted to be presenting three workshops, all of which are open to all audiences and free to attend, as part of the DataFest Fringe. Our events, which are also part of “Designing with Data” – a strand of events designed by a group of innovative public and private sector organisations across Edinburgh, include:
Edinburgh Cityscope Open Data Workshop (Monday 20th March, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm)
In this workshop participants will hear about and have opportunity to share their ideas around the innovative Edinburgh Cityscope project, which is creating the digital infrastructure to make Edinburgh a Global City of Learning. The project is led by Prof. Jonathan Silvertown who will be speaking about the project, its ambitions and technical development to date. EDINA are a partner in this project and we will be there giving an overview of our work on Curious Edinburgh and Fieldtrip Open as part of this event.
