REDIC

Full title

Research Equipment Database in CERIF

Duration

June to November 2012

Summary

The objective of the REDIC (Research Equipment Database In CERIF) project is to scope and build a prototype system and infrastructure that would make possible an authoritative registry of information about research equipment and facilities (nationally or internationally) available in the CERIF format for use by researchers in the course of their work.
The Research Equipment Database in CERIF (REDIC) project is a JISC-funded rapid innovation project running from 1st June 2012 to 30th November 2012, hosted at The University of Edinburgh Digital Library and with development support from EDINA.

Project Deliverables

The prototype register will be available in the CERIF format to enable it to be readily incorporated or referenced in local databases such as Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) or Institutional Repositories (IR).
