Summary

A project to produce Linked Open Data output from several different EDINA projects and services.

During our period of Linked Data Focus we will be working with several members of both the geographic and bibliographic/multimedia development teams in EDINA. We plan three short "sprints" during which we will produce Linked Open Data output from several different EDINA projects and services. During each sprint we will hold a workshop where we present and discuss the work in progress, and invite people from outside EDINA to show off their related work.

The development work should support the Resource Discovery Task Force and will follow its guidelines for metadata.

After the development phase we will produce an "infokit" documenting the potential re-use value for other institutions.

Project Deliverables

  • Linked Open Data from at least 3 EDINA projects/services, including Open Access Repository Junction, the Carmichael Watson collection, and the Datashare repository.
  • Case studies illustrating how other collections can benefit from the same techniques.
