Class materials A Presentation (PowerPoint file) was given to students during the introduction to the practical. Handout 1 (Word document) given to students on the first week of the practical. Handout 2 (Word document) given to students on the second week of the practical. A Guide to GIS using ArcGIS was also made available to the students. This guide is under Durham University ITS copyright and can not be distributed. Files made available to students on the ITS network Ordnance Survey data from Digimap [opens in a new window], Topography data and British Geological Survey data [opens in a new window] were made available to the students on the ITS network. The BGS data is subject to copyright and therefore cannot be made available from this case study. Ordnance Survey data made available to the students can be downloaded from the 'Teaching Resources' area of the Digimap site. These files cannot be made widely available because they are subject to copyright restrictions.
