Providing a Repository for Open-access Subject-Presented Eprints Online
The Open Access News website provides an Overview of Open Access. Open access allows online free access to publicly funded, peer-reviewed research outputs and is increasingly being mandated by research funders around the world, including the Wellcome Trust in the UK. Digital repositories and open access repositories are defined and institutional repositories are discussed in Heery and Anderson's 2005 Digital Repositories Review, commissioned by JISC.
