See Geo, Saw Geo - Overview

Introduction

Both SEE and SAW-GEO are projects funded under the JISC Grid OGC Collision programme (opens new window).

This programme recognises the potential and importance of open geospatial interoperability standards from ISO/TC 211 and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) in enabling the UK e-Infrastructure.

SeeGeo

SEE-GEO (Secure Access to Geospatial Services) is investigating the means of making Geospatial data securely available. This is being done within the context of Grid technology and standards from the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). SEE-GEO started in October 2006 and will run until May 2008

SawGeo

SAW-GEO (Development of Semantically-Aware Workflow Engines for Geospatial Web Service Orchestration) has been developed and funded to address the potential of workflow engines in the orchestration of OGC services and to demonstrate the capability of such developed systems in real-world applications.
