The download extends OGSA-DAI 3.0 with:
- Support for common Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) protocols
- Conversion between different geo-spatial vector formats
- Helper activities
It was written with the following goals in mind :
- To enable OGSA-DAI users to access, process and deliver geospatial datasets by bridging OGC and OGSA-DAI communication protocols
- To create a collection of reusable low-level activities that can be combined to create well-structured complex geospatial processes that scale well
- Strict standards compliance
- To enable the geospatial community to leverage Grid middleware by making key OGC webservices available from within OGSA-DAI
