SEE-GEO is a collaborative project bringing together the skills from key organisations with the UK e-infrastructure.
- Knowledge of OGC standards and processes. EDINA Geo team. The JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) have acknowledged that open operability standards are of key importance in the use of the data services it funds.
- Security of Data. SDSS team at EDINA and NeSC Glasgow. The security of the data held in a Grid environment is of the greatest importance to content providers and will affect their decision to contribute their data.
- Knowledge of Grid standards and OGSA-DAI. NeSC Edinburgh will assist with the integration of the OGC interfaces into OGSA-DAI and the use of other key pieces of Grid software, eg, Globus Toolkit.
- Social Science Use Cases. NCeSS, under their e-infrastructure project, will provide an important Use Case from the e-Social Science area.
